Subclass 189 and 190 Skilled Nominated Visa
One must be invited to apply for both subclass 189 and 190 visa, after they satisfy the points test. An elaborate skill assessment is performed, and the applicant is expected to have a job relevant to the tested skill set. Once approved, this visa will enable the applicant to work and study anywhere in Australia as a permanent resident. Subclass 189 and 190 mandate that the applicant is below 45 years of age.

If a company is not able to find an Australian to fill a certain job posting, it is allowed to invite a person from overseas to join the organisation. The company must be an approved sponsor and the applicant who has been chosen must have a defined skill set to match the job they have been chosen for. Subclass 482 Temporary Skill Shortage Visa
Although this is an employee sponsored visa, it is temporary. The applicant who holds this visa can stay up to 2 years or 4. If the applicant is a Hong Kong passport holder, they can stay up to 10 years. The jobs that the applicant is allowed to be called for must feature on the short-term skill operations list or on the medium- or long-term skilled operations lists. The applicant can bring their family along.
Subclass 186 Employer Nomination Skilled Visa
This visa is an Employer sponsored permanent visa.The applicants can apply for this visa in such a case after meeting the health and character requirements and this visa grants permanent residency in Australia. The Australian employer can utilise the Direct Entry Stream or be a party to the Labour Agreement made with the government, or sponsor an employee who has been working with them full time for three years and holds the subclass 457/ 482 visas.
One can apply for this visa to arrive at Australia to carry out short-term work on a temporary basis. The applicant should either be supported or sponsored and meet all the requirements of the relevant stream. The visit can be used to take part in Australian Government Endorsed Events, in which case the visa will be active for up to four years of stay. An approved special program can also be covered in this visa. In this case the applicant can stay up to a year indulging in student exchange, cultural exchange, and gap year activities. The visa accommodates full time religious work in a theological institution in Australia. The applicant and the family can stay in Australia for up to 2 years in this case. Research work in a registered organisation or institution is also covered within this visa which will be granted to the applicant and the family for two years. Few other reasons covered under this visa that grant 2 years of stay are domestic work, entertainment activities, sporting activities and exchange arrangements.
You can visit Australia to take part in an occupational development training program to find new dimensions in your skill set and update your expertise. You must either be sponsored or nominated by the organisation based in Australia or can be invited if the organisation is a Commonwealth Government Agency. The stay can go up to two years with this visa.
